What does a flashing light on my Acer AC adaptor mean?

I was using my problematic laptop, and it shut off suddenly (this has happened before). I simply turned it back on. I have sent in the computer in the past because of this, and they tried to fix the problem and I think it is overheating.

However, the same day about 20 minutes later, it shut off again. I went to turn it back on and it wouldn’t work. I noticed the AC adaptor was flashing. My laptop wont turn on!

Will the Acer erecovery delete my windows partition?

Is Toshiba laptop any good, in GENERAL?

well i know different models are different and what not, but at least most will agree that Fujitsu is quality (but ridiculously pricey) and Gateway is crap. So how’s Toshiba’s general reputation in terms of durability and overall quality? how would u “rank” other brands?
Lenovo, HP, Sony, dell, acer, asus, compaq, gateway, … etc?

again, i’m just trying to get some general reputation……as I don’t follow laptops all that much….
