I am going to buy a full-option desktop. I can’t buy laptop because I can’t upgrade it. I don’t play a lot of games but I play Crysis or any kind of high-end games(Rare). I don’t work with graphic related stuff. All I am going to do is install Linux and debug programs and sometimes play games. I know that I don’t need dedicated graphics card to debug programs but my dad told me to go all the way. I am willing to spend a lot of money. My friend told me buy apple desktop-Mac pro or newly came out Alienware-Area-51® ALX CFX. Mac pro has NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 and Alienware has ATI® Radeon™ HD 3870 X2. I don’t know which one is better card so I am asking you…..
I have another question.
I was surfing the net and found out mac pro can have up to 4 graphic cards. How is it possible?

I ordered an alienware about a month ago and everything was going well but in the beginning of July the said that my laptop would be delayed until July 31st so i sent an e-mail to make sure it’s being delayed but no reply. On the 10th the order status page said that my order has been shipped and i thought it was a mistake so i sent them an e-mail to find out if it was shipped or not but still no reply. So i thought that it might be their order status e-mail so i sent an e-mail to their customer service e-mail 2 days ago and they still haven’t replied.

Why aren’t they replying??

Planing to buy alienware laptop but cannot choose between these two..
1. Area 51-m15x

-The main problem is that with full specs in both laptops the more advanced m17 is still much cheaper. But has lower battery life(no smart bay for ext. batt) and is much bulkier. But the m15x is around 400$ more expensive and it has less superior specs (esp. processor)

-Also which is much better a m15x w/ 8GB DDR2 ram or
m17 w/ 4GB DDR3 ram??

-Moreover, in terms of graphics which card is better
1. m15x w/ 512Mb Nvidia Quadro FX 3600M??
2. m17 w/ Dual 512Mb ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 CrossfireX Enabled

Will this run World Of Warcraft smoothly?
Will this run Combat Arms smoothly?
(what fps will i get on WoW?[experience please])
