I am going to be upgrading to Intel Quad core Q9450 processor and will likely get either:
Asus Striker II Formula 780i SLI Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard, OR
EVGA nForce 780i SLI Motherboard.
I currently have 2x XFX geforce 9600GT XXX OC Alphadogs,
8GB DDR2 800MHZ PC6400 ReaperX ram and also an Antec 1000Watt power supply. I want to Over clock the new processor but i want to get a Case with good air flow through it 1st.
I also have Akasa AK922 Evo Blue CPU cooler.

Any suggestions (I dont want water cooling).

I believe my 7600gs has an overheating problem or just took a crap on me. Im looking to get the best videocard with my motherboard. I’m slowly building a new computer. I would like to keep it nivida. I think my slot is agp8x. I’ve looked at some but dont appear to be the same slot.

Hello,
I have an Emachines desktop. I have checked that there is power to the case reseated the cables there is a small green led that is lit up on the motherboard (Its always on) so I’m assuming its not my power supply.the power supply fan and the case and cpu fans start then all the fans stop with in seconds of start up,I jumped the molex connector and the PS fan will stay on.
But no matter what I do the computer will not turn on from the switch So do you have any Ideas?

hi i have an emachines desktop computer that isnt starting up. so heres what happend i shut it down and i had to unplug it, it was unplugged for about an hour, when i plugged it back in i pressed the power button and absolutly nothing happend. ive tried a few things — its not the power box, its not the power button, its not the wall socket, ive tried taking out the ram and startin it up and that didnt work, so im guessing its the motherboard but theres a green light on the motherboard thats lit up when the power supply is connected.

Would anyone be able to find out if that has a PCI E slot?

The model is a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4254. The motherboard needs a replacement but I’m not sure which item on ebay is suitable. I can’t run a utility because it doesn’t turn on. I’m also not familiar in taking the notebook apart. Is there something similar to crucial’s RAM finder, but for motherboards? Thanks for your smart answers.

it doesnt have a parallel port connector.

It’s an IBM Thinkpad (now lenovo) R40, 2893, with a 1.4 Centrino Processor. I see on ebay some motherboards for the R40, but a different number instead of the 2893. Any advice? Thank you!
