Well this was the first time I had this happen with this computer. I was told that it froze and would not shut off with the power button. So it was just left to sit for approx. 5 or so hours frozen and then we had a blackout. So all power was lost and when the power came back it would not switch back on. I have replaced the power supply(I happened to have one on hand that said it was compatible with the computer). I looked all over the computer but could not find anything that might have been fried.

Is this a common problem with Emachines?
What could be the different problems that could cause this?
I have now learned my lesson with them and will no longer buy their computers.

There is actually a little green light on the motherboard when the computer is plugged in so I would assume the outlets are working. But is there some way to tell what hardware problems there might be?

I just bought an Asus a7nbx-e Rev. 1.01 but when I try to turn it on it powers for a second and then it turns off. I don’t know if im putting the panel 1 settings wrong but can anyone help me?
I tried another power supply and the same thing happens . as for the manual, for some reason it didn’t come with it, any idea where I could download one? I checked the website and I can’t even find the product there.

So I got an AlienWare 2 years ago now. And about every few months it starts to make an odd sound. I can’t really describe it other than its loud. Imagine when you’re on a computer, and you load up a huge program and your computer will make that sound as if it’s loading something. Magnify that times 5.

Anyway, everytime I’ve sent it back they’ll “fix it” and it stops making the sound. The thing is its always something different they’re fixing. Anywhere from the CPU to the video cards, to the harddrive…. to the power supply! The computer runs fine, no performance problems. Just this sound.

When they “fix it” the sound does go away. But I’m thinking maybe they are just fixing random things because they can’t figure out whats actually wrong? And maybe this sound is something simple like dust…?

Anyone have an idea?

My current PC is an Emachines T5026 and I will be building a PC after I get the rest of the money for the parts. I already have the video card which is an XFX 8800GT. I was wondering if I would be able to try it in the T5026 for about an hour(just to try it)(very impatient)? I know the T5026 has a PCI Express x16 slot but the only thing I’d be concerned about is the emachines power supply which is 300W. Once again just to try a game for maybe 30 mins to an hour.
My PC is stock no addons. My mobois compatible I just wanna be sure about the power supply

i have a Fujitsu Siemens laptop serie Amilo m ,the powersupply don’t charge the battery ,i want charge the battery in external without the power supply of my laptop ,also is any battery charger that charge it in this way
