I just bought Fujitsu Lifebook N6460 with windows Vista home, I try to install Windows XP beside it , where I have Programs worked only on Windows XP or older Versions (W.98). but I failed to install. Please how I can overcome this problem.

I’ve had an IBM Thinkpad T22 that runs Windows XP and has 256MB of ram since April.

Over the past month it has been nothing but constant crashing with regular apperances of the Blue Screen of Death and other problems.

What shall I do without running the risk of losing everything on here?

A day ago I formatted my c drive and installed windows xp home edition all over again everything seems to work fine but I notice that everytime I scroll down or grab a window and move it sideways it moves almost in SLOW MOTION! It is not detecting my video card either and I dont know how to find out which one is installed can anyone help?

When I am online, my home page does not show messenger, and when Im at the yahoo360 it shows that im offline. I have the yahoo toolbar. My emachine has windows xp. What do I need to do to? any advice? Need help?

My comp has the above mentioned graphic card with 256 mb video memory.1GB RAM,3.00 Ghz processor,direct x 9.0c,windows xp service pack 2 & pixel shader 2.I tried to run new Prince Of Persia but the graphic card did not support it.Please help.

Well my computer has alot of viruses and i want to format it.
I have the recovery toshiba CD that came with it, and i have a copy of window XP home edition that came with it as well which one do i use? The recovery cd or the xp cd.

About a week and a half ago, i was on yahoo checking my emails and playing a c.d. through windows media player when my 3 year old Emachines T6412 popped up a window saying that my anti virus AVG had downloaded a new update and needed to restart my system. The window had a 58 second timer on it, saying it would restart automatically, or ‘click yes to restart now’… no option to cancel. After it shut down, it tried to start back up, but only got as far as the windows XP logo, then looped to it over and over. I called my PC tech, and rushed him over to my house. At this point he hooked up the hard drive he kept, [a mirror of mine] and booted it up from there, and it worked fine, so we assumed the problem was fixed. Today, about 10 mins. ago, while watching a video on youtube and again checking my yahoo emails, my computer froze completely [mouse non-responding, Ctrl+Alt+Del not working, song looping 1sec of audio, the whole works]. i pressed and held the power button, shut it down, let it sit for a few minutes, then tried starting it back up… it went to Win. XP logo/loading screen, then froze there! What could it be? i need to fix this computer… it’s been faithfully running these 3 years, i’ll buy any part needed to fix this, i just need to know what is wrong….
update: ram replaced when i moved back in… early june i think, recovery was run with the first crash, didn’t work [wouldn't take, just kept looping to windows load screen] , i can’t run chkdsk, nothing at all is loading other than Win. XP load screen… there is something i forgot to mention though… while i was away [almost a year] no one took care of this PC… it was left on until a storm blew the power out! i just found this out from my mother… but it was running fine from june til last week… so idk
…removed my backup hard drive, now it’s loaded windows and has been running about 10 mins without problems…. could a bad SLAVE drive have caused it to restart, freeze, and crash at diff. times like this?????

My IBM computer with windows XP has 4 USB ports, But none of them work. There are voltage coming out of them. But computer does read any USB devices. Device Manager does not show Any USB controllers or USB ports. USB ports may be disabled in bios but I dont know How to get in the bios. Pls help.
